      You're right! They use really confusing language in their marketing and we made a mistake. It looks to be that they use the PT2399 chip, making this a digital delay. Still a great sounding budget pedal, but NOT analog.

    AWESOME. Section 8 (Described at ~7:10 to 8:10 and practically applied EXPERTLY at 12:50) is GOLD for performers - THANK YOU for the tip on HOW TO ERASE THE LOOP so you can have a clean transition to the next song in the performance WITHOUT the 'old' loop restarting . . . . I just picked this pedal up and that was going to be a deal-killer for sending it back until I got to your demo and tutorial, specifically this issue, so BOSS owes you one.

    Hey Kevin,a few days ago I found one of these on Facebook market place for 25 bucks just a few blocks from me. My amp is a Vox AD50VT, the amp distortion is pretty good,I'd like my tone with about 40% more gain so as to get a much better sustain and crunch, would you spend 25 bucks on one just as an experiment? Thanks man

    • @kevindaoust
      @kevindaoust Місяць тому

      Hey, hey! For $25, I'd jump on it! It's a cheap way to try it, and should it not be your thing, you can probably easily resell it for the same price. Good luck!

    Great video. What is in your opinion the best stack position, before or after the Dream?.

    • @kevindaoust
      @kevindaoust Місяць тому

      Hey! Thanks for the question! My favourite placement is the delay after the Dream (much like putting a delay in an amp's effects loop). The delays are cleaner and clearer, even when using distortion. If you're running pedals straight into a clean amp, I would put the delays after any distortion/overdrive sources to get that same effect. Putting delay before distortion (whether it's pedals or amp distortion) means that the repeats themselves will also distort and compress, leading to a more aggressive ambience (which may work for you, depending on your preferences). I only prefer delay before distortion with slap-back sounds (think rockabilly).

      I think the 2 inputs and 2 outputs is to allow you to loop in stereo, or maybe with multiple instruments? I would not be surprised if I was mistaken either way.

    • @kevindaoust

      That's how I have my board wired in the video. I have the Jackson Audio Broken Arrow (non-MIDI) in loop 1 and the Dream '65 in loop 2. Handy so that I can put the amp either before or after the traditional "wet" effects (depending on the sound I'm going for). You can also expand on the external OD pedals if you want by incorporating some small pedalboard switching looper (like the offerings from Morning Star); saves on the tap dancing if you want to use presets or snapshots.

Every-time I am at rehearsal my Tu-3 picks up the bass player, drummer, keyboard etc.. and lights up like a christmas tree to the point I cant tune my Frickin guitar. I emailed boss and got a week response, like "it could be sensitive, its possible bla bla bla". so I got sick of it and just ordered the polytune pedal. I havent got it yet and hoping my pedal when pressed shuts out everyone around me..... anybody experience this?

Now the question is do I want the higher end harmonics of the Woodcutter or the chunkier sound of the Iron Horse?? I want my bass synths/acid boxes to scream and growl [the Rat gives me this but the added noise is not acceptable to me), which is why I am leaning Woodcutter. Any thoughts?
